Railroading
Plains, Trains, and Bruce Boe
Bruce’s extended family included a group of great uncles, brothers of his grandmother, who worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad (NP) in Livingston, Montana. This strong connection and a childhood home in Miles CIty, Montana, three blocks from the NP mainline, result in railroads being much more than a passing interest.
As a life-long railfan, Bruce has spent much time studying trains and everything related to them – from their engineering history to their routes and the industries that utilize them. Every cross-country trip and work assignment is a new chance for him to work on his railroad photography, some of which is shared on Diurnal Sky.
